FAQs about Bassinet Pad and Mattresses

Q: Are there any weight restrictions for my bassinet pad?
Please follow the manufacturer's weight limit for the bassinet cradle, the cradle is for 0-3 months or when the baby begins to roll over, by that time, you will want to put your baby in a crib.

Q: What size is the bassinet pad?
The size is 30" L x 2.75" D x 15" W

Q: What makes this bassinet pad different?
Cranial Cradle bassinet pad offers a firm, 2.75" D high density foam sleeping area for your baby's comfort yet supports your baby's back. It has a sculpted contoured pod area to relieve external pressure on the cranium itself while gently cradling your baby for a comfortable sleep environment.

Q: What type of sheet do I use with the bassinet pad?
A standard fitted sheet. Stay tuned for our premiere sheet line.

Q: How do I clean the bassinet pad?
Wash with warm soapy water and a clean soft cloth and dry with a clean soft cloth.

Q: Why haven't my other children suffered from plagiocephaly/flat head syndrome after using a traditional bassinet pad or crib mattress?
In 1994 a campaign called "Back to Sleep" went into effect in the U.S. and medical professionals formally recognized that they believed lying infants on their backs while sleeping reduced the incidence of sudden infant death syndrome, better known as SIDS. The theory 'back is best' from this campaign is still the standard for infants today. However, some infants are more susceptible to cranial issues than other infants and the pressure exerted on their heads from the supine position can increase the risk of cranial deformities such as positional plagiocephaly/flat head syndrome. It is usually unknown which infants are more susceptible to these issues which is why it is important to take preventative measures such as lots of 'tummy time' while awake, and also through using Cranial Cradle bedding which may reduce the susceptibility in your child.
